2015_Kyle_Swainamer_js_MG_5217The twenty-one participating faculty come from five degree granting programs – Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Polymer Science and Engineering, Veterinary & Animal Sciences, and Molecular & Cellular Biology – to train students in an interdisciplinary fashion that expands career opportunities and sharpens professional skills.

BTP faculty are highly productive researchers committed  to graduate education. They are exceptionally cooperative and work productively with synergistic scientists, publishing 300+ articles with research collaborators within the biotechnology field, and co-advising numerous students during the past 10 years.

BTP students come from excellent undergraduate institutions, complete their doctoral studies in an average of 5.4 years, and produce on average 4.6 publication from their thesis work, of which 49% are first authored (93% of graduates have at least one first author publication).
