Adam Lynch – NIH Trainee 2024-2025

Research Progress: I am entering the second year of my Animal Biotechnology and Biomedical Sciences (ABBS) PhD in
the Pobezinsky lab. I study the mechanisms behind CD8 T cell fate decisions and the development of Immunological Memory. We have generated novel mouse models via CRISPR/Cas9, and have used them to investigate novel markers of heterogeneity in murine CD8 T cells. Using our models, we have linked the presence of microRNA-associated proteins first noted in our 2023 Nature Communications publication towards the generation and maintenance of memory T cells. We are presently developing additional tools to investigate our findings further.
