On December 22, 2017, BTP Executive Committee voted for the updated BTP Internship Policy according to which students with unpaid internships will be paid their NIH stipends during the time of their internship. Unfortunately, NIH does not provide additional monies to cover the cost of housing at the internship site. The NIH stipends for fellows who perform paid internships will be suspended during their internships and will resume when the student returns to campus until the total period for support (not counting the internship) has been reached.
